Precious, owner of Seventh Heaven Beauty Parlor

Meet Precious, your esthie angel.

Hey, I'm Precious, the owner and esthetician behind Seventh Heaven Beauty Parlor. I've been in the beauty industry for 10 years and have had the opportunity to practice in multiple states, as well as train and mentor other estheticians along the way.

I created Seventh Heaven because I wanted my clients to have somewhere they could come, relax, be comfortable and know they're in good hands. My goal is to provide services that are not only efficient and thorough, but as comfortable and pain free as possible.

I never want you to feel like you need to change who you are. It's about enhancing what you already have, taking care of you, and making sure you leave feeling confident, comfortable, and like your best self.

Everything you need to know before your wax.

Questions about waxing, skincare, timing and what to expect?

Can I get waxed while I'm on my period?
Yes. You can still wax while on your period. For bikini and Brazilian services, please wear a fresh tampon or menstrual cup. If you are especially sensitive or uncomfortable, you can always reschedule.
Can I get waxed while pregnant?
Yes. Many clients continue waxing during pregnancy. Your skin may be more sensitive, so let your esthetician know and your service can be adjusted as needed.
Do you wax men?
Absolutely. Men are welcome for Brazilian, bikini and full body waxing. Everyone deserves a comfortable, professional waxing experience.
How long does my hair need to be?
About 1/4 inch, roughly the length of a grain of rice. For most people, that means about 2 to 3 weeks of growth after shaving. Avoid shaving right before your appointment.
What should I do before my waxing appointment?
Arrive with clean, dry skin and skip lotions, oils and heavy products on the area being waxed. Gentle exfoliation a day or two before can help, but do not exfoliate immediately before your appointment.
What should I avoid after waxing?
For the first 24 to 48 hours, avoid hot tubs, pools, heavy sweating, intense workouts, friction, tight clothing and exfoliating the freshly waxed area.
How should I care for my skin between waxes?
Once your skin has settled, gentle exfoliation a few times a week and regular moisturizing can help keep the skin smooth and reduce the chance of ingrown hairs.
How often should I get waxed?
Most clients come every 4 to 6 weeks, depending on the area and their individual hair growth. Staying consistent helps keep your results smoother and more predictable.
Can I wax if I use retinol or exfoliating skincare?
If you use retinol, tretinoin, adapalene, tazarotene or other retinoids on the area being waxed, please tell us before your appointment. These products can make the skin more fragile and increase the risk of skin lifting, so waxing may need to be postponed. If you are taking isotretinoin (Accutane), we absolutely cannot wax you while you are taking it or for 6 months after your last dose. This applies to all waxing, including hot and hard wax. Please follow your prescribing dermatologist's guidance before resuming waxing.
Can I get a brow lamination? What are the contraindications?
Brow lamination is not appropriate for everyone. We cannot perform a lamination if you have had a previous reaction to lamination products, active eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis, irritation, cuts, abrasions, burns, swelling, open wounds or an infection around the brow or eye area. Recent microblading or tattooing, very weak or damaged brow hair, and certain medications or active skincare ingredients, including retinoids and some acne medications, may also require you to postpone your service. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please let us know because contraindications can vary by product manufacturer. If you are unsure whether a lamination is safe for you, please contact us before booking.
What is skin lifting, and what do I do if it happens?

Skin lifting is when a small amount of the very top layer of skin comes away during waxing. It can happen, and it is extremely common. It is not a burn.

There are several reasons skin lifting can occur, including using retinol or other exfoliating products, recently exfoliated skin, certain medications, hormonal changes, dry or compromised skin, or simply having more sensitive skin that day. Sometimes it can happen even when you have followed all of the proper pre wax instructions.

If you experience skin lifting, don't panic and don't pick or peel the area. Keep the area clean and protected while it heals. A gentle, fragrance free healing product containing hypochlorous acid, aloe vera, or a simple barrier repairing ingredient such as panthenol can help soothe the area and support healing. Avoid exfoliating, fragranced products, heat, sweating, and additional waxing on the area until the skin has completely healed.

If the area becomes increasingly painful, swollen, warm, develops significant drainage, or does not appear to be healing normally, contact a healthcare professional.
